We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Human Resources based in our Langley Support Centre, London. About the Role Manage the UK HR function, leading a team of three (2 x HR Manager, and 1 Administrator) Implement the HR strategic plan To be an Expert in UK Employment Law and advice the Management Team on Legislative updates Provide comprehensive Employee Relations advice to the Management team Keep the board informed on significant matters in terms of personnel and employee-relations Develop and implement an annual training plan in line with the business strategy Planning and directing employee training and development programmes Provide information and reports on data such as staff turnover, sickness and absence Carry out skills development training (Leadership Development, R&S, G&D, Time Management, etc.) Ensure all staff receive appraisals in accordance with company policy Identify Talent using the Talent Review Process and work with Senior Managers to agree appropriate development plans. Ensure succession plans are fulfilled Develop and implement an effective performance management process through-out the company Review salaries, co-ordinate salary reviews and make recommendations for pay rises in consultation with line managers. Monitoring the recruitment & selection activities. Co-ordinate recruitment throughout the company. Build relationships with recruiters, draft briefs, set up interviews where necessary. Interview senior hires when necessary Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant Assisting with the pre-opening of new branches (budgets, assessment open days, recruitment and training) Monitor staff turnover, promote stability and produce/implement retention strategies Assist in the sale and transfer of branches (TUPE), oversee all redundancy consultations Act as an expert regarding Employment Law, HR policies and benefits Required Skills and Experience Must have recent previous proven experience of working in a similar role A confident, hard-working, proactive and confidential professional Excellent organisation skills, able to prioritise own workload, often having to multi task, under pressure and to deadlines Experience of managing a recruitment process from start to finish Ability to form good working relationships with individuals at all levels, including Directors Able to work quickly & accurately with good literacy, numeracy, problem solving skills & attention to detail Computer literate with good keyboard skills & working experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel Chartered CIPD qualified Experience of payroll and statutory legislation relating to this i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP Good knowledge of Employment Law Training experience Some travel both in the UK and to other corporate countries would be expected Don't be ordinary, be extraordinary and join Sixt.
