CNC Production Machinist Position objective Operate CNC Machinery with a high regard for effectiveness and efficiency. Compliance to the environment, safety and cleanliness guidelines. Achievement of the highest possible efficiency rates and quality standards to help lower costs. General responsibilities Adherence to federal and local law regulations, internal policies and other applicable rules including ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements Continuous improvement of work and activities Compliance with the corporate mission statement Cooperation with other people in spirit of mutual respect Fulfilling thoroughly all tasks within the scope of defined qualifications and responsibilities Represent the company in professional and respectful manner Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information Adherence to 5S principles Technical responsibilities Change tooling offsets Monitor tool life and change cutting inserts Print reading CMM operation Use of metrology equipment Specific responsibilities: Compliance to the environment, safety and cleanliness guidelines. Operate CNC machinery Properly fill out paperwork. (shift reports, inspection cards, route cards etc.) Load and unload machinery Perform hourly parts inspection Maintain all liquid levels and perform daily Preventive Maintenance Clean and care for equipment and surroundings Education/training/certification: High School Diploma Technical Training Experience: Metrology Equipment (calipers, height gage, dial indicator, etc.) Experience working with metal CNC Machining experience Technical knowledge: Knowledge of metrology equipment CNC knowledge Basic computer knowledge necessary Equipment/clothing used to perform the job: CNC machine Metrology equipment Personal protective equipment in applicable areas (uniforms, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes) Work environment/abilities: 95% indoor/5% outdoor The facility has smooth cement floors and overhead fluorescent lighting.
