Linux-Loving Legend to Be Our System & Network Administrator Do open-source operating systems get your heart pounding? Can you be our go-to guy or girl when it comes to Linux-related network issues? Our Internal Infrastructure team is looking for a Linux expert with network or system administration experience to help ensure that our employees stay connected and our internal IT tools are in top shape. You will monitor and maintain our fast-growing, heterogeneous network. You will identify, troubleshoot, solve and document network connectivity and performance issues and consider how we can optimize network speed and availability. Show off your detective skills as you search for and discover the reasons behind critical malfunctions in our server farms so that we can avoid the same problems happening again. You will also take on the planning, installation and configuration of server, storage and network components. We're always looking for how we can change things in order to improve so you will be encouraged to implement your own ideas for building up our infrastructure. Holds a bachelor's degree or has completed an apprenticeship in Computer Science or a related field. Has at least 4 years' experience in network/system administration. Has good knowledge of server, storage and network hardware. Has hands-on experience with troubleshooting, maintenance and installation of Linux/BSD. Previous experience with Windows Server 2008R2/2012R2 would be a plus as you will be working with it but our team can help you as you learn. Has excellent knowledge of Network, Wifi, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Firewall and network related tools, e.g. anti-virus and software deployment. Has advanced experience backing up system and user data. Speaks English (our company language) fluently. German would be a plus. Can start as soon as possible.
