Translation & Localization Specialist - Italian Speaker Do you want to make sure that our Italian users get the best possible experience when using the world's largest hotel search? We aim to ensure that trivago's high quality transcends borders and languages, so we are looking for an experienced translator who can accurately and creatively translate materials from English to Italian. From headlines to copy, on our website, in newsletters, press releases and more, you will produce easily readable texts that convey the meaning of the texts from which they have been translated. It is essential that you can adapt the tone of your language as context dictates but can also maintain consistent wording throughout our website so as to present a cohesive, professional experience. Alongside producing your own translations, you will proofread those generated by external agencies, as well as texts created by other departments for advertisements, blog posts or legal texts. You will also work to increase the number of descriptive tags on our website so that no matter what wording users employ when searching for a hotel on our site, they are redirected to a relevant place. If you want to see how we provide our users with what they need, come and join us. Speaks Italian at a native level and English (our company language) fluently. Either holds a degree in Translation or Linguistics or has 1-2 years' professional translation experience. Any previous experience in the localization industry would be a plus. Has impeccable writing skills. You must be able to fully understand an English text's meaning and translate this meaning while writing in a way that makes your text look as if it was originally written in Italian. Any HTML knowledge would be a bonus. Has excellent communication skills and can explain the logic behind their translations. Has a fierce commitment to any job they take up and strives for perfection rather than being happy with 'good enough'. Has a fantastic eye for detail and can be trusted to spot any errors Can work independently and effectively prioritize their own workload. Can start as soon as possible.
